Overnighting in Lescun

It was with some regret that we left the French Basque country. Not that we weren't looking forward to exploring other parts of France/Spain, but I think we felt there were so many beautiful places we have not yet seen during are extremely short stay in the Basque country.

As we pushed ahead, we merely zipped through St-Jean-Pied-de-Port which, although it seemed to be bursting with tourists, would have deserved much more than a quick drive through.

After a relatively long day drive, we wound our way up a steep mountain valley to spend our night in Lescun.
