Arrived back from Fraser pretty shattered and just had the evening back at Hervey bay to get everything washed and all before heading off to Kroombit early the following morning where were staying overnight before continuing on the journey to Airlie Beach. We had a couple of stops to get food etc along the way but we had the option of ordering lunch to have when we arrived at Kroombit so I went for that. The Oz Experience stop at Kroombit is designed to give you a taste of the outback, and it was definitely good to go somewhere off the main east coast route. The place we stayed was a big cattle station and they run activities like horse riding which some people chose to do. While they were doing that most of us decided to go into the pool to cool down as was really boiling! We then drove over to where they had the free activies of the Goat Rodeo where people had go at lasooing and had a milking the goat competition where one person caught the goat, the other milked it and the third had the lovely task of drinking the goat's milk! There was also clay pigeon shooting competition which a few people took part in but I opted to have a few drinks and watch instead! Following that we had our dinner cooked for us which was nice and had couple more drinks after that before the evening activities started. That included learning to crack a whip which I couldn't master at all and having a go on the mechanical bull & playing some games. The following morning we had a pretty early start before the long journey to Airlie so after getting some breakfast we hit the road.
