when i think of glacier i think of snowy mountains. so it was kind of strange to see green vegetation all around. makes it all the more amazing. the front is 5km long and the glacier rises upto 60m above sea level. i stood there and just stared at it for a long time with my jaw dropped...watching chunks of ice dropping into the sea with a huge splash and then see them turn into huge floating icebergs. it was too late for me to arrange for a trek on the glaciers. what a pity.
