Today, I really had a good sleep since I woke up at 10:00 A.M. I then jumped out of bed when I realized what time it was since I had to call home and catch everyone at our family Christmas party. It was good to hear everyone over the phone. It sounded like everyone was having a good time.

We again had a wonderful breakfast of oranges and tasty bread. On top of that Teresa and I bought some peanut butter and chocolate milk so I would not be home sick. Around 11:30 Teresa and I headed back to Sha Tin so that we could do some Boxing Day shopping. I let Teresa do some shopping at the New Town Plaza since she held all my bags yesterday in Mong Kok, I held her bags today. She bought a nice shirt at Mango. I bought a 2GB SD card for around 35 CAD, what a deal!. We then had an amazing lunch a Dim Sum restaurant called the Lei Garden. It was ten times better than any dim sum I’ve ever had in MTL. My favourite dish was the barbecue pork bun, the only thing that I didn’t eat was the chicken feet. I still can’t get myself to eat it… maybe one day. Other dishes included, sponge cake, shrimp dumplings, friend taro/shrimp dumplings, turnip dumplings (their signature dish), light flour dough barbecue pork and some soup pork dumplings.

After Dim Sum we did some more shopping (Teresa really) and also took some sticker pictures!!. It was such an Asian thing to do, but I have always wanted to do it. Let me describe the scene, we entered the sticker picture shop which was a sea of pre-teen Asian girls. We were definitely out of place. The machine we chose took 8 poses, but since all the instructions were in Japanese, we had no idea how the machines worked. After taking the poses you get to edit your photos and add all sorts of funny things to the pictures. We were so stooped we couldn’t even figure how to work the machine to do this, when all the 12 year old girls knew exactly how to do it…. Ah!

I forgot to mention that Teresa took me to a kid play park beside the New Town Plaza called SNOOPY LAND which was really really cool. We took some pictures with Snoopy and the Peanuts group. I felt like a really big kid. Make sure you take a look at the pictures.

After Teresa finished shopping, we returned home to another wonderful supper prepared by her mother. Barbecue pork, Chinese spaghetti, Chinese broccoli, real US broccoli, and clear rice noodles. So yummy. Was really tired, but fought to stay awake until 11:30.

Forgot to mention, that there was an earthquake and the apartment shook back and forth!! Quite scary. It was a 7.2 magnitude with a 6.7 aftershock south West of Taiwan in the Ocean… Teresa’s mom has been living in Hong Kong for 25 years and has never felt an earthquake.

Great pictures. Especially the sticker pictures. In my country we call these political advertisements. Where did the 12 year old girls go? Perhaps they know my seester. Keep the blog going. We all love it!
