Yalova Thermal is more than a place to see. It may also be called as healing center. The healing hot water is good for rheumatic diseases, digestion system diseases, liver and gallbladder diseases, metabolic obesity, gout, kidney and ureter diseases, skin diseases, the diseases following orthopedic operations, gynecologic diseases and all types of convalescence period diseases.

Because of this characteristic, the place is directly attached to Turkish Ministry of Health.

The place is a health center since ages. The Kursunlu Hammam (sauna) was constructed in the period of Byzantium, which has a roof made of lead. Kursunlu means "made with lead" in Turkish. Other hammams are built by Ottoman Emperors.

The open air pool is filled with hot water. We were at thermal on january and so it was the middle of the winter. We swam at the pool when it was raining. It was rain and snow from time to time and swimming in hot water with freezing cold outside is great!
