I made my way down from Prague to southern Czech Republic to take in the highly talked about town of Cesky Krumlov. I arrived via train from Prague and after getting lost in town...(seems to be a trend lately) I found my hostel and settled into the quaint town.
My first day of exploring took me up to the magnificent castle that overlooks the cute, medieval town. The weather was gorgeous. Not a cloud in the sky. There is a beautiful river that wraps its way through the town - so my camera was snapping away tons of pictures as the town looks like a postcard. In the summer it's a popular tourist destination for horseback riding, canoeing, rafting, biking etc. And, in the winter I think things slow down a bit. The town reminds me of Jasper - even though there is not a mountain in sight. It's quaint and relaxing and a nice break from the busy cities I have been visiting lately.

The next day - rain. Ugh. But, I survived. Took in lots of cute shops and a coffee shop (I know...life on the road can have it's pluses when it rains!). Kept it pretty cool. Checked out a local jazz band that night. Was fun because they sang obviously local Czech songs, and popular English ones as well.
Overall a nice trip to this sweet little town. Well worth a visit by anyone who makes it to Prague or the Czech Republic.
