So I'll try not to write a monster entry this time as I notice that I've been trying to fit a whole weeks worth into one page. But here goes.

Well most importantly my camera is arriving shortly in the mail as I have ordered one from the US(a Casio Exlim z1000 with a spare battery, 2G card and a case for round about $477AU) so fingers crossed for that. I will be taking some happy snaps of my place and my work as soon as I get it.

Also I have been here for just about 2 weeks now in Calgary and moved in to my work accomodation and during these 2 weeks my room mate has imprinted a big black burnt ring mark of the pot on our kitchen bench. The story was that he was boiling water for 2 minute noodles then went over to visit some people in the village and totally forgot about it until he came back an hour later and by this time the pot was bone dry and just about to melt, then he removed it from the stove and put it on the bench. And just to let you know how bad the pot was, I tried to boil water the next day and water was leaking out of the sides like an expensive water feature. We also got our unit inspected today as well for hygiene and because we were both working we couldn't really do much. Apart from putting a table cloth where the burnt mark was and pile heaps of plates and cutlery over it so it looked like it was out to dry. I was told later that we failed our inspection. Why? The place reeked as soon as they came in they reckon. I don't know about that but it smells fine to me. But I guess it's not as bad as one of the dudes here who were busted with some marijuana in his room. So I guess the attention is off us at the moment. But on the more positive note about the house, I went out to buy a Tefal non-stick Wok for like $13 bucks so wooohhooooo, no more cooking burnt food.

Now with work, I have such a cool boss. I worked my first function on today and yep it was everything I expected it to be. Banquet serving, plate service, table setting, cutlery polishing etc. All the things that I already now from working in this field back home so it was pretty easy. But one thing I didn't have back home was a super cool boss. This function was catered for a group of 40 people up in the Ski Tower for dinner and only Trevor(a teamleader), my boss Wayne and I were working. It was a 3 course meal but entrees were self served buffet style with plenty of yummy ordervs. Once entree time was over we packed the ordervs away into the hot boxes then Wayne ordered Trevor to clean up the bar and me to assist him in taking the food down(As the kitchen was on another level). So I was like "Sure". Then as we got down to level 2 and rolled the hot box in, Wayne started going through the food like a starving African child that hasn't been fed for days, so I'm like "Yeah bring it on" then I started pigging out like the starving African's brother. It was nice food, sushi, chicken wings, little salmon thingys it was just great. Then we had prime rib later on for dinner and also some homemade cherry chocolate sponge cake(I had 2). I know I'm not suppose to eat beef but prime rib was something I was told I had to try because it was so soft and jelly like. Well I gotta say maybe when the thing is bloody served hot, because we ate ours when it was cold and I had to saw through the damn thing with my knife and when I chew it , it was just like dried up chicken breast. So that one I didn't enjoy that much.

It was about 11.30pm when we finished up and the last shuttle left COP to go back to Mount Royal was at 9.30pm so Wayne dropped me off and because it was student night at the Liberty Lounge at the college. I knew everyone was there so I quickly got changed and Wayne and I drove to the LIberty Lounge and had some drinks. It was yet another plastered night and I ended up going home at 3am. But luckily I had the next day off but working for the rest of the week.
