New York, New York!

Made it to the Big Apple okay.  Has been interesting so far, a little different from how I imagined it, but still really cool.  We've already been sworn at by a crazy lady, who asked us if we thought we were "fucking walls" when we didn't realise the pedestrian crossing light was on.  Very funny.  We went up the Empire State building this evening, and had amazing views of the city all in lights.  Just got back from an amazing dinner, am fit to burst, and a little tipsy even though I only had one glass of beer and one glass of wine.  Our waiter was cool, really friendly and animated, and he'd even heard of Flight of the Conchords.  He was an aspiring actor, just like all the clichés!  Oh, and as we were walking up the street, we weren't allowed to cross the road, because Will Smith was filming a scene in a movie. Exciting!  It's all go in NY, I tell ya.

Our apartment is lovely, back to sharing a room, but it's really nice. On a picturesque tree lined street.  And it even has wireless!  Loving it.
