We arrived in Costa Rica and picked up our jeep and headed down the coast to Manuel Antonio. We soon realised why they recommend a 4x4 for Costa Rica´s so called ´roads´! We were amazed by the different wildlife we spotted just driving along and when we got to our destination. It was nice to enjoy the warm weather after the few wet days in Peru! We had a walk along the beautiful beach and watched another opulent sunset.

Found the local catholic church in Quepos in the morning and went to the 9.00am mass. They put on an activity and men dressed as the 3 wise men. We could not hang around to long though as we only had the one day to enjoy the Manuel Antonio national park.

The tide was in so we had to wade across the river to get to the entrance. There were boats but we didn´t want to look like big ´Jessies´(Damian gave Jess a piggy back on the way back. Jess: "Well he offered!") We saw a family of squirrel monkeys, sloths, snakes, crabs, Agouti, iguanas and lots of birds, all in there natural habitat in the national park. It was really cool walking the trails trying to spot the wildlife, although groups of people pointing up into the trees was always a big clue! When we got back to the beach we enjoyed some fresh coconut milk.

Had fresh fish for tea in a restaurant on the beach and watched the fireworks from a local beach wedding.
