I woke up this morning compiling a list of things to buy and it was a long list, there was a market across the road called Farmers Market, it was kind of like any Market with little stalls selling fruit and veg and a Deli and some seafood and beef and dairy and all that. Which was pretty cool, so first I went over to buy some Bananas and sausages and potatoes and bacon and eggs just so that it could get me started. It was like a 500 metre walk in the snow so it was quite a handful to carry already so that was all I had bought. Then that night we cooked the food without any oil and not on a non-stick frying pan and a small bloody pot and it was so difficult to cook but I guess we managed, the frying pan burnt the food and some of it had stuck ont he pan and we had to scrape it off. So after dinner, we kind of realised that we didn't have any detergent to wash up so we just dumped it into the sink and said we'll buy it tomorrow.

The next morning, I woke up caught a bus downtown to Walmart(cost $2.25 for 90 minutes of travel) then took the train from downtown to a town called Marlborough. I just travelled with 5 other guys from our accomodation doing the same thing so I just tagged along. We finally got to the Marlborough shopping centre and it was quite big so I was impressed. They had everything there Sears(like a Myer), hairdressers, electronic stores, and also Walmart. I went to check out some cameras and laptops to get a price on things, still haven't got one yet but I plan to get cheap laptop just for the convenience. Anyhow after that I walked past the one dollar store called Dollarama and bought heaps of stuff, detergent, labels, toothpaste, plastic containers, a proper knife, some handwash, sponges and several other necessities. That was already 2 bags full, then I went to Walmart, but this time our crew had now decreased to 2 as we lost everyone already. So I was with this one guy off to Walmart and we arranged a meeting place in an hours time. In Walmart, it was just so hectic, people with trollys lining up like sheep at cashiers making it impossible to walk through. There was everything at Walmart, electronics, clothes, food, shampoo and all. Some of the stuff was pretty cheap. After 30 minutes of walking around with 2 full bags, I knew I couldn't buy a lot because I couldn't carry anymore. I tried to find some salt and pepper shakers but nope, none around. The only things I bought was a tracky pants and  some toilet paper. Then it was off to home, me and Gab(the guy I was left with) met up and decided to head back home. By this time I was lugging 4 full plastic bags around. We caught the train back to downtown Calgary then walked to the bus stop. Bus number 18 was the one we were suppose to catch. We waited around for about 45 minutes and 10 buses went past but no Number 18 bus came, it started to get cold at this point as nightfall came so we just hailed a cab and got dropped off back at Mount Royal College. Cooked Bangers and Mash for dinner without any oil again. Burning the pan, but this time we had sponges and detergent. Then I knew tomorrow it was again off to the market to buy some food for the week. I haven't got use to this yet, as at home I go everywhere with my car and now I only have my feet a bus and 2 hands to transport all my shopping back home. (It sucks, but I guess it has to be done.)

This time, I caught bus number 13 as I was told he will take you down to Safeway. I headed out alone this time, grabbed a trolly and did a load of shopping, with everything I needed and food. Shampoo and everything. I had like 5 bags this time but fortunately there was a bus station across the road from Safeway and it was number 13. I caught that back to our village and walked about 100 metres and I was home. (So now I know how to get home by bus) After I did my shopping and packed everything away, I made myself a couple of sandwiches and ate them, then I decided to head to the gym in the college as we had membership there so I went with my room mate to get our membership card and checked the gym out. This gym was massive, it had everything, all machines, treadmills, swimming pool, basketball court, squash court, showers, a sauna. I was getting my jollies off about the gym, I was so keen that I went straight home got changed and came back and started building my biceps and back and I knew I was going to be sore the next day but damn it felt soooooo good. My gut kinda looks like a homer simpson gut at the moment so I was so stoked to have finally worked out. (I feel like such a gym junkie now that when I don't do it I crave for it.) Then back at home, I cooked some pasta and ate some rolls for dinner. By this time COP staff came knocking on everyones doors and gave us a schedule for work tomorrow but the start date for my group wasn't on there so they told me to take the day off tomorrow and they will find out. In my mind I had planned out - I'll wake up for the gym and head downtown to finally look at some cameras and stuff and get a haircut.
