So people told me you could eat food of the street in singapore it was so clean. Not true. I still had dirty feet coming back from the hotel. I'd eat food off of tokyo's streets first. Still it was much cleaner than bangkok. More modernized and easy to navigate since it's an island.
The first day we walked around Orchard Road. Did a lot of shopping but didn't buy much. The shopping isn't as great as it says, no offense. We ate at Food Republic and had just about every asian food you can imagine. I had some dumplings, sushi, these coconut things, and of course my fresh smoothie. After more shopping we made a quick decision to do the Night Safari. It’s about an hour away from downtown. We saw hippos and elephants and you actually get within touching distance of some of the animals with no guard rails or anything. I was a little freaked out. I mean really these animals could jump over the bushes and into your cart to take your life.

The second day we walked by the Raffles hotel and then tried to take the helium balloon to see the city but it was closed due to weather conditions that were getting better, bummer. So we walked to the river boat tour which was good. Then we grabbed a bite to eat and some smoothies at TCC, a coffee place. A widespread chain with delicious food and drinks. Back to the hotel for a quick nap and then back out for dinner at a bistro.
Our last day in Singapore we headed to Little India. Didn't have the shopping we were looking for. However we did eat at a nice indian restaurant which had delicious chicken tandoori, naan and chicken butter. Back to orchard road for some shopping at Far East Plaza which was halfway decent but I didn't end up buying anything. The people here are SOOO small my american butt can't fit into anything they make here in asia. (did i mention in bangkok i was looking at a shirt and the woman goes no to small for you.....nice) oh well i've gotten a few things here and there. Overall singapore was a decent city with moderate shopping. I think it'll be awesome in a few years after all the construction is done.
