Are we sure we're in Canada? It feels more like France. Everything is French here; the menus, the radio, the street signs.... everything. (Carrie, we needed you to translate for us!!) The weather is a cool 66 degrees. Fahrenheit or celsius....who knows? We don't do metric. We are staying at a great hotel where we thought we'd paid $80. We now think we paid about $130. (This whole conversion thing is confusing, what can we say?) Canadian money is worth more than we thought, yet still less than American. We hung out at a bar with some locals who were very nice and wanted to learn about us as well. They asked to look at our I.D.'s and American money. Weird. Gas is about $4/gallon here.

Oh, Canada!

So...did you ask why they're called Canadians? Seems like that would be people from Canadia. Did you meet any girls named Ontario? Was anybody singing,"The French are glad to die for love...they delight in fighting duels..."?? If you don't know just say, "Je ne sais quois." Or "Joi de vivre" or "Fromage" or something. Miss you en francais and all languages, xoxoxo Mom
