Bryce was a very nice park.  It wasn't too hot, and they have several different hiking trails.  The rock formations are called hoodoos, and are formed by some geologic process of water/freezing/thawing (blah, blah, blah).

We set out to do a 3 mile hike down into the famous Ampitheater, and about one mile into it a huge storm blew through.  We hustled to get out before the lightning and rain started - I've never moved so fast in my life.  We managed to make it out right before it poured.  We also took much needed $2 showers, which was a nice treat.
