After a short visit to Skofja Loka, I continued to see Bled lake and the highest peak in Yugoslavia - Triglav. Triglav can be easily seen from Bled lake, especially if you climb up to the castle above the lake and the weather is fine. The lake is typical glacial one. If Alpes had eyes, one of them would be Bled and the inner island as  its iris. By the lake is a small village

named after the lake, but I suppose it has more tourist than native inhabitants. The lake has a small island in the middle that is the home of a Assumption of Mary church. All the sights, the castle, church, island and the lake itself is well exploated and many touristic offers can be found like boat trips to the island and Castle museum. I approached the lake from the opposite side of the town by train that stops 150m above the lake, so I had a beautiful view over the lake. Stairs are leading down the hill to the opposite side of the lake. A well arranged path is made all around the island, so the town can be easily reached by foot. Due to its mild climate Bled is famous  health resort visited by many tourist during a year. Also on your way around the lake, very friendly wild ducks will follow you. So they followed me during my stay there, before I went back to Ljubljana.

By the lake is a small village named after the lake, but I suppose it has more tourists than native inhabitants.
