Arrived in Sao Paulo around 9 am and hopped in a cab to head to the Downtown SP Hostel. We stayed in a private room with a private bath and a good size. Once we got into our room we dropped our bags to head out into the city for the day. We did a full day walking tour that included things such as the praca de se and a few beautiful historical churches. At the praca de se they had a small band playing music that the locals sat and watched. There were people laying by the fountain enjoying the day and the sounds of the water as it splashed and continued to make the constant comforting sound. We continued to walk around and see historic buildings, bridges and a nice soccer match being played on an enclosed field. The streets were all made of black and white cobblestone; which were made by the use of a rock and a hammer to put them together. On Sundays most of the shopping district is closed so the city was very peaceful. The churches were packed with those wanting to pray or look at the beauty of the art. We took many pictures of sculptures and statues so that we could remember our time here. For dinner we stopped for the favorite of the country the Brazilian Rodizio; which Jeremy loves, but I was a little undecided about. After eating our body weight we decided to call it a night and catch up on our sleep.
