On Thursday evening I finished packing, had a friend drop me off at PDX, and boarded my plane. It was due to leave at 12:01am, a red-eye. I arrived at JFK around eight o'clock exhausted, hungry, and I think I even had a minor case of hemorrhoids from sitting for so long. The red-eye was a bad idea.

Scott and I checked into our B&B his aunt had booked for us. It was on a huge property tucked away in some dense trees and gigantic lawns. We slept most of the day and later met up with his aunt, sister, and her friend for dinner at a seafood restaurant. We were the youngest customers there. The place was pretty dead when we sat down, but towards the end of the night gold necklaces, floral blouses and thick accents crowded the room. Our meal was delicious; lots of fish, clams, oysters, and beer. After being full of food and exhausted from flying we headed back to the B&B and crashed
