A lot has happend since we last posted on our blog. We moved out of our apartment. (Madison, it has been a nice eight year run but we are going to have to go our seperate ways. No, it's not you it's us. We have changed, you are great but we just want... more.) We are unemployed and do not really have a home. We have been staying with the Thuli family since the first of the month. Thanks Thuli's it has been nice. We said our fairwells to our friends at Ken Saiki Design with a nice dinner at the Great Dane in Fitchburg. It was a really great time. Our evening started a little oddly when Jessica decided to cool herself off by dumping her margarita on herself an hour before we were to meet everyone. We sped off to Good Will and found a very nice pair of jeans. Thanks Good Will. We also finished our immunizations last week. So here goes, Hep A, B, Yellow Fever, Rabies, Japanese Encephalitis, Menenconcal, Tetanus, Malaria (pills not shots), bring it on because we are IMMUNE!

One of the most common questions we have been hearing from our friends has been, "what are you taking with you?" I thought it might be nice to give a little info about the stuff that will be traveling with us. Lets see we each have a backpack. The goal for us is to take as little as possible and pick up whatever we need on the way. Here is a condenced version of what we are taking, believe me it isn't much. 1) Clothes - 1 pair o pants, 1 shorts or skirt, 2 shirts, 1 pair of socks, 1 pair of sandals, 2 pairs of the most expensive, space aged underwear money can buy, 1 microfleece, 1 lightweight rain jacket, 2 bras (one each,JK) 2) Bathroom goodies - Basic needs nothing fancy, one soap to wash EVERYTHING. 3) Other - We got a pretty sweet camera that we are hoping doesn't get; lost, stolen, broken, wet, dirty, smashed, borrowed or any other thing that could possibly happen when you're on the move in foreign countries, we each have a sweet headlamp that I will put pictures of us with up later. harmonica (I thought it might be nice to learn an instrument on the way), First aid kit, Water packs, sleepsack, neck pillow, Journals, Sketchbook, photoalbum filled with pics of our loved ones, Rope (cause you always need rope), knife, and one all-in-one-spoon-knife-fork utensil. Well that is about the extent of our gear giver or take one or two items. Everything two healthy, uprepared Americans could need for a year... or is it?!? Well, safe travels to everyone. We plan to post again before we leave in a week. Thanks for the comments. We are off to eat an early Thanksgiving dinner Ma Wieczorek has been so generous to cook for us and our Thuli family housemates. Peace Jessica and Eli. In response to the comment about the towel, we will each have a fast dry towel. And of course...duct tape is a given so we didn't even think to mention it. :)
