The trip for Joiliet, IL was pretty good made good time across IL and IA, the problems arrived in Sioux City and could not find a room, we called every hotel of and size between Sioux City, IA and Sioux Falls, SD with no luck, seems a kids baseball tournament was going on. We finally found a Kozy Korner motel in a real small town, but they only had 5 rooms, we needed 6. The five couples who made the trip with me took the 5 rooms. The town was also filled with Amish folk, see the traveling doctor was in town and all the surrounding Amish folk came to see him. Well after my friends bedded down it was off for me to find a room. Called real small hotel in Mitchell, SD and talk to this real nice lady who told me she closed down and went home at 10pm, it was now 9:45pm and I was 40 miles away, I asked her if she would wait till I got there, she said yes. I told her I would get there by 10:30pm. Let me tell you the 75 mph speed limit in SD really came in handy and I was pushing well past 75. Looking for 4 legged motorcycle road blocks all the way. Made it to Mitchell and found the room, nice but lacking in internet connection and breakfast. I slept like a log and that was great.
