Well here we are the Hyatt Regency right on the river walk.  In fact part of the river runs through it.   After depositing the luggage we are out on the river.  It is very pretty at night with many restaurants and hotels.  It is however not noisy or runover with drunken louts as it would be in the UK.   People are enjoying themselves but there are plenty of quiet passages of the river.   We walk for a while and then stop off at Landry's, a seafood chain restaurant.   With over 300 outlets throughout the States they must be doing something right but whatever it is didn't exactly chime with us.    Pauline's penne was cold and full of chilli and my angel hair seafood pasta was boring.  I then saw Bananas Fosters on the menu and being reminded of the fabulous dish created in the famous Brennans restaurant in New Orleans, I couldn't resist.  When it arrived I realised that unlike New Orleans which is famous for its restaurants, a San Antonio chain restaurant is not going to deliver the authentic dish and it did not.   I think that had I looked long enough there might have been some bananas in the dish, BUT is was awful.   The sad thing is that we looked at 20 other restaurants before choosing this one!   Anyway by now it was gone midnight and as we had been up for over 24 hours it was time for bed.

I then saw Bananas Fosters on the menu
