A Word for the Wise
From I Finally Made it to Egypt! in Alexandria, Egypt on Jun 30 '08
I just realized that a lot of complaining goes on in my blog. Honestly, it is better than attending a kick boxing class for stress relief and anger management. But I would like to point out that I am actually having a great time. Gotta take the bad with the good, right? I am so lucky to be able to see parts of the world that most have only read about, and to truly experience life here. I am pretty much an expert on Egypt. Yeah, I’m kind of a big deal. (sense of humor challenged friends-that is a joke…watch Anchorman!) Although I have learned a lot in a short period of time, something still surprises me every day. There is always more to see, more to do, more to experience. I was re-reading Shelbi’s guidebook today and saw some awesome sounding attractions that I didn’t even know about. More on these later, inshallah. I am incredibly grateful to God, and my parents, and my Arabic professors, and anyone else who has helped make this trip possible for me.
BUT I DO miss everyone at home. Dearly. A month and a half left. Which I have decided is too short and too long all at once.
