Sunday 4th May Provence to Turin

Spent the morning at the campsite just relaxing. The kids had a ball in the pool and we met some of the other campers. One Dutch couple pulled in and unhitched their caravan and proceeded to steer it into place using a remote control. It was just incredible - a caravan sized Tonka toy – and funny … when it was perfectly in place the woman said “Where is my door?” The guy threw his hands in the air and swore (Andrew knew enough Dutch to understand exactly what they said). Good for us though. We got to see another exhibition of the remote control in action. We finally headed off at about 2pm and did battle along the coast with all the Italians returning from their holiday weekend. Ooops. More spectacular scenery. Made it as far as Turin and free camped for the night.
