Helen here - Hello to you all on our last evening in Singleton. We have had a relaxed day, no tripping about. We did go to Big W to buy ourselves cheap winter dressing gowns & flannelette PJ pants. I bought some really nice paper for my cards, totally different to what is at BIG W in Rocky. When we came home & I detagged everything, we noticed the security tag attached to my PJ's. Try as we may we just couldn't get it off, so we tracked down the docket eventually & went back to the store, thankfully they were open until 5pm. No doubt someone will get a rap over the knuckles. All the washing was also done today, so we are keeping up with the housework. It is 6.35pm & rather a cool breeze is blowing in the door, we already have our coats on. Last night we put the extra blanket on our bed & we were pleased to have it. It wasn't as cold this morning as yesterday when it was only 2, but no doubt as we go further south it will get colder. Nick said we have done 3640klms since we left home & over 640 klms this week in Singleton & the Hunter Valley. I was talking to a chap at the clothes line this morning & he said there are approx 26 coal mines in this Singleton area, so at this van park there are mainly shift workers who work in the mines. Nick continuing - Tonight we turn back the clock so that when we wake up in the morning you'll be waking with us. It hasn't made a great deal of difference, but I suppose being a nomad we don't often look at our watch and time only means it is dark or light. But it does matter when Saturday comes around because of my once a week pill as soon as I get up in the morning. For dinner tonight we had King Island Netherby Blue cheese and Smellys Cambazola cheese and Hunter Gold Washed Rind cheese and a mixture of large green and black olives and crisp bread. All very nice and no need to eat any more. We forgot to have a glass of wine with it, but it doesn't hurt to have some alcohol free days, water is pretty good too. Yesterday while at Tyrrell's winery and after Helen had had three sample drinks she had a blow on the breathalyzer, 0.028, so it would be very easy to go over 0.05 While in Singleton we had a look at the large sun dial and it of course it was can hour behind, but it should be correct tomorrow. Be side it was a chart for sun corrections. According to the camera the photo was taken at 12:36 so when you look at the sun dial 1230.jpg photo it is pretty good. After the WOK cooking episode Helen has banned stir-fry's being cooked in the van. We'll have to do them on a BBQ or fire outside.
