I spent last week on Isla Santa Cruz in the Galâpagos Islands and it was fabuloso!

I saw iguana, giant tortuga, lots of birds (including the v cool blue-footed boobies), sea-lions, mantra rays, flamingos, bright red little crabs that I loved, and more!

That place is full to the brim with an amazing variety of wildlife and surreal landscapes... I have been on desert islands, fine sandy beaches, crawled through lava tunnels and seen Russian porn stars pose with iguanas in the red volcanic dirt (sorry, no photos from that hilarious spectacle)!

It was a great week and I was sad to leave. In fact, I almost didn´t leave... our return flight was delayed following an Iberia plane crashing on take off at Quito and causing chaos the night before. After waiting in Galäpagos all day, we were flown to Guayaquil where we waited... got on a plane... waited on the plane... got off the plane again and waited some more before being transferred to a hotel at midnight. We were then woken at 4am to go back to the airport and finally fly back into Quito Sunday morning.

Needless to say, I was muy cansada for my 4 hour bus ride to Baños on Sunday afternoon but I made it here and this place is GREAT... the adventure begins!
