Departure from HCMC Fri 26 October - note that there is no requirement for 3 hour international check in at Vietnam airports! At HCMC airport (international) there was little to do and the food was exorbatantly priced. After finally checking in, and being unable to post anything at the post office (stamps only no help with parcels), we found a nice malaysian restaurant with comfy booths overlooking the tarmac. What we saw was not so promising - dark skies, rain and a few bolts of lightening.

The flight to Kuala Lumpur was only 2 hours and very comfortable with the extra leg room in the exit seats and fantastic Malaysian Airlines service. Learnt all about the lifestyle of a young flight attendant when chatting to one of the staff as we were landing.

Four hours stopover at KL airport so did a mix of (window) shopping, phone calls and internet.

So this was to be our final departure from South East Asia - it had been 5 weeks and 4 days of hot, crazy and fantastic times. Vietnam was great with how accessible the various cities are, however I think Mike and I enjoyed Thailand the most - whether it was the food, the people we met during our time or just the actual activities while there it was an amazing time.
