What a wonderful glorious day! I started the day by flying. Still coming down off of the mountain, just cruising downhill on these straight stretches I put my arms up and just flew. And danced. You can dance on a bike when you’re going fast. The air was bitingly cold, and still there’s that smell! I instantly felt like I’m on vacation. Everything else was work and now I’m on vacation. I flew down that mountain with the Tetons rising on the horizon and I looked down at the river. 'You’re going to the Pacific!' I told it. 'Me too. Lets go!'

I ate a luxurious lunch at the big lodge at Jackson Lake looking out at the lake and the mountains. I can’t stop taking pictures of them. I think I’ve never seen any so high or so jagged. I even took a picture of tourists getting their picture taken in front of them. I camped at Flagg Ranch in between the parks. It rained momentarily but then the sun returned and I rested and read. Two other bikers pulled in later and we swapped stories.
