The collection of toiletries. I've got everything from 100% DEET bugspray to baby ass wipes to a travel clothesline. Yeah, it's all there.

Ha well I truly cannot believe that the time has nearly come - the time to hop on that first plane which will eventually take me to China and the beginning of my world tour. I feel like I should have so much more to do or take care of before I go, but in reality everything is taken care of: my visas, my clothes, toiletries, finances, pretty much anything you could think of possibly needing on a 6.5 month trip I think I have considered and packed accordingly. It's nice to not have the burden of running around town to find the last minute necessities, but at the same time I feel like I should be doing something.

The footwear and clothes all organized.

On another topic I just finished up the last of my interviews before I take off. It went well, but I am really hoping to hear back positively from Penn State. We shall see... It would be nice to not have to worry about what I'm going to do once(if) I return to the states. It all works out in the end.

The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty

I am going to leave you all with a few pictures of everything I have packed up over the past few days and a quote by my favorite cigar afficionado:

A glimpse inside of those mysterious little bags. So I realized I had a lot of space and didn't want to wear travel clothes all the time (especially in Europe).

Greg, don't forget the Immodium AD! I'm sure it is in there I will look again. Check out the Bei Hai bars by the Lake. And Sanlitun. I've traveled many places before and while I have read many stories about hostile kids trying to rob you Beijing is the only place I was ever attacked by a swarm of money hungry kids so beware! Luckily a local scared them all to scram! Lonne

The quotation is certainly most appropriate to your visions of life. And, your grasping at the most opportune of life's challenges. Your travels will expand all of your available horizons, and those opportunities will become infinite. I wish you all of the best, and anxiously await your discourse of all of your adventures.

Gregory! I am wondering where the Tevas are? Flip flops seem hardly... functional. Costaricab8 is quite articulate. All I have to say is have a bomb ass time and perhaps toast a shot or two to me in some strange land :)
