With the short time that we spent in Paris, it still managed to blow me away. It is definately every bit as beautiful & magnificent as it is potrayed to be & I can't wait to return.
We arrived in Paris on quite possibly the worst weekend ever. Before our trip, we booked our flight out of Paris back to Glasgow but didn't book any accomodation as we weren't sure when we would first arrive in Paris. We didn't realise at the time, but we had booked our flight on the weekend of the world cup final. We struggled to get accomodation in the city & ended up having to spend the first 2 nights 30kms out of the city. The day we arrived, there was a transport strike & the only way to get to our hotel was with a $120 taxi ride, which our budget did not like at all.
We spent 1 of our days at Disneyland, which is the best experience I have had so far on my trip. Me & Mike were running around the park for 10 hours, like little kids on a sugar high. With all the detailed, colorful & themed rides & buidlings, the park is trully magical. The park is massive, even after spending the whole day there, we still missed some things.
Exploring the city of Paris, was also a fantastic experience. The Eiffel Tower, is even larger & more beautiful then how I imagined it to be. There are so many fantastic buildings & muesuems & the Parisians were not nearly as arrogant as they are potrayed to be.
Au revoir
