Left Brisbane early in the morning and had short-ish drive up the Sunshine Coast to Noosa, we stipped along the way for a walk up to a good view point for the Glass house mountains. The driver gave us pretty interesting talk and walk was good although the word steep would be an understatement! The final part of the drive into Noosa along the coast was really spectacular, as the beaches along the coast there are really beautiful and weather was pefect sunshine! As I arrived into Noosa early had pretty much the whole day to spend down at the beach which was really good and one of the nicest beaches had been too by far. Also explored Noosa a bit, its defintely an upmarket sort of place but had some nice shops and cafe's and things not to mention lots of nice ice cream places! In the evening met up with Mark from my contiki tour in the US and a couple of his mates, went out for some dinner and drinks at Koala's where I was staying so that was fun.
The following day had a bit of a lazy morning but in the afternoon headed down to the National Park where me and couple of the people from my dorm went out bit of a walk through there which really enjoyed. We did the coastal walk and came across some really nice beaches and also stumbled across the nudist ones! Was really hot day but enjoyed the walk and once we got tired of the walking we headed down to the beach to swim and sunbathe for couple of hours before walking back. That evening Koala's had BBQ on so went for that and stayed there for the evening having few drinks after. Best thing about Koala's is having the bar so close as don't need to worry about getting back at all especially in Noosa which is very spread out so was prob good place to stay even though rooms were tad basic.
On my final day in Noosa headed down to Australia Zoo and although didn't pre book was lucky enough to blag ourselves seats on the free bus which was big stroke of luck as otherwise we would have had to get two buses and a train there. Australia Zoo was worth the trip and went to few of the shows there including the main one in the Crocoseum which was main part of the day really. As welll as all the main animals like Crocs, Kangaroos, Koalas etc also saw Tasmanian Devils which hadn't seen before. Plans for massive expansion are underway at the moment is something like 70 acres but will be over 300 acres with diff themed areas and Terri Irwin has said eventually will be over 500 acres, already seems pretty big at moment so hard to believe how big it will be then!
