This place has totally blown us away, we think it's the first place we ahve been where we could happily stay. The island is tiny - only takes about 25 mins to walk the whole length of it, there are no roads or paths and no jetty so we had to get a longtail boat to and from the ferry!
We intended to stay 3 days but that turned in 4 then 5.. just get the picture. We dragged ourselves away yesterday after 8 days. I just lived in a pair of shorts and scarlett her bikini the whole time, we didnt even wear shoes! The locals were great, we spent our evenings at a reggae bar and got to know a chap called 'mut' (not sure how you spell it) he would as us what we wanted for dinner in the afternoon and would then spend a few hours cookng for us (spicy stuff) so we would have a buffet and who ever was around would join in, we even got a cd of the local thai reggae :) The island was so quiet because it is the end of the season and there are few tourists. Every year the locals (around 150 of the i think) have a party on the beach and in a big open sided hut, the were so welcoming getting us to drink and dance, we ended up dancing until for in the morning a few nights, the dance floor was just wooden planks and the whole place was bouncing with the people dancing!

We met a swiss chap called nelson who we plan to meet up with in Ko Samwi, we learnt to dive together at a place called forra diving. We did 6 dives over 3 days going down to 26 meters. The coral was beautiful, and so many colourful fish! We even saw a 2.5M Angel shark and some 2M rays! So i am now a certified diver and hope to dive at Ko Tao if the money allows. Scarlett didnt like the sensation of diving so we also went snokelling, the coral is so shallow it just as good, were were out for an hour and half - its easy to loose track of time!

The wild life is amazing as you'd expect, there were bald eagles flying around, and huge bats at dusk. We had a praying matis on our porch on morning and a scary looking flying lizard fell out of a tree onto my head!! (see pics)
We are in Krabi now, it has just started hammering it down so hope it clears up soon! Hope all is well there guys, keep in touch!
