For Christmas, Sarah and I went to Bruges!! My first trip to Europe. It was lovely, but very very cold.

We arrived on Christmas Eve, via Eurostar. We caught a cab into town and walked around the town centre. Lots of Christmas market stalls, and LOADS of chocolate stores. We went to the supermarket and bought a half-bottle of champers for our Christmas celebrations. (You've gotta have champagne for Christmas!!) And we ate waffles and ice cream for dinner before heading back to the hotel room for a bubbly.

Christmas morning we had breaky at the hotel. Huge buffet breakfast and a kitchen / grill area to cook yourself bacon and eggs. It was very good. Completely stuffed ourselves, and decided to head into town for some window-shopping, only to find all the shops OPEN! It was quite odd, but cool for tourists like us.

The rest of our time in Bruges was spent asking each other, "Have we been in there yet?" (-> points to chocolate shop).

Belgian goodies include: Waffles, chocolate, beer, chocolate, mussels, fries with mayonnaise, and chocolate. Fries with mayo are good! Mussels, ah, I tried them. Beer, I had a small one. Chocolate and waffles - I couldn't get enough of them!
