We bid farewell to Summit County and went to Aspen to the Chilipepper Brewfest.  This is an ingenious festival with bluegrass music, chili, and beer tastings.  ($25 gets you music, ten chili samples, and 2 hours of all-you-can-drink beer…amazing.)  We decided that it should become an annual attendance on our part.

We met up with Anna’s friend Jeff the next day for an awesome hike near Carbondale, and then had our first night of camping (with many more to come).  We were staying on public land which we apparently were sharing with some cattle.  We awoke in the morning to some moo-ing.
