Headed back home
From Train Trip 2007 in Seal Beach, United States on Aug 03 '07
We got up early this morning to go for one last walk before leaving. We were surprised how cold it was! We could see our breath, and after an hour of walking, we were freezing. We walked up the tracks this time and ended up on a trail that went over a covered bridge that the train passes. We saw a couple trains go by while we were there.
Getting back, we thawed out with cups of hot coffee before breakfast. After cranberry scones and fruit, we finished packing and headed for the airport. This was such a great trip. The train trip was really fun, and Glacier Park is amazing. It reminded both of us of parts of our childhood – backpacking and canoeing in Canada for me, summers with Grandma Jean for Brad. We definitely want to come back again. We are also planning future train trips and think this is a great way to travel.
