Packing up

last night we had an official goodbye party for all the translators and everyone we've gotten to know over the summer.  it was good, but really sad to say goodbye.

this morning as i walk around the city, i pass by the same buildings and the same streets, but it feels different.  it feels as though Lipjan has become empty again to me.  knowing i won't see these people whom i've come to call friends ever again, the attachment has become to the people rather than to the stores and places.

the boxes in my heart

this summer has been amazing, and i'm honestly not quite ready to leave.  i've felt this way at the beginning of the summer, and i'm feeling it again: it's as if God puts me somewhere, and i make friends and get almost comfortable.  then there's this voice in my heart, "Ok, time to go."  and I know God is calling me to somewhere else.  so for now...i'm going home.
