We got em! Our passports... we finally have them in our hot little hands... I have never been so happy to see an envelope arrive from the US Government in my entire life! I nearly kissed the mailman today when he dropped off Chloe's passport in the mail box. I got a call yesterday from our Congresswoman Susan Davis' office saying that our passports had been FedEx'd from New Hampshire and Chloe's had been mailed from LA. Honestly I don't think we would have been leaving on time if it wasn't for the help of Jacob James at our Congresswoman Susan Davis' office.  Jacob kept calling the National Passport Office on our behalf and as well as requesting a Congressional Expedite for us... he really pulled some strings to get our passports to us in time for our trip. I wanted to send him a big fat yummy cake from Extraordinary Desserts but he said they are not allowed to accept gifts of any kind...so I guess I will just have to write a nice letter for a job well done. A note or letter just doesn't even seem to touch the surface of how thankful we are to him. He is a miracle worker!!!

Ohhhh my....What a day...what a great day! Now we can focus on packing and doing all of the last minute details to get ready to leave for our trip. I guess I won't post another thread on the blog until we are well into our trip. Stay tuned for our adventures!
