So we did't miss the boat. The boat was cute yellow and called Speedy Gonzales.

Saw some crazy crocodiles on the way. The place where we stayed seemed to be the only open place in town and we seemed (or actually were) the only tourists. I can't figure out why, by all of the sudden were is a lot less tourists everywhere we go. And there is a lot more rain. Maybe now that it's September the low season actually hit the place.

In any case, we had the whole town with the whole beach, with the whole restaurant all to our self. It was blissfully quiet. We read and ate and walked on the beach. It was very uneventful. We figured that the whole town (or at least 90 %) is owned by North Americans. The place where we stayed is owned by Canadian couple that's only there 4 month a year. Most dogs are good looking well fed and fixed that's really unusual for Costa Rica. Saw a black iguana. And I dug out a live sand dollar or whatever it's called when it's alive. It was crazy... had 100s legs all around the body.

The  only bad thing about Playa Zancudo is garbage. I guess because of the geography or the tides, lots of garbage gets washed out on this otherwise perfect beach.
