What the hell just happened? I've been here 7 days? no way!! your lying!

Alright... well apparently I was in Ios for 7 days... but I couldn't tell you what really happened!! Ios is kinda just like that causes you to forget what the heck is going on!!!  All I know though is like Mike and Josh said this place is just like how I imagine heaven and I can't wait to get back there!!!

Alright well we hopped on our ferry bound for Mykanos which is normally about a 6 hour ferry ride but apparently we booked a high speed ferry and it only took us about an hour and 20 minutes which was really nice!! Anyways we got there again with no accomodation but thank god that they had the sign girls set up outside the port again so George and I found another campsite called farout camping but this one proved to be ALOT crazier than the last one!  When we got there we were lucky enough to get the very last tent they had set up in the place but after a long nights partying the night before it was all I could do to meet our 5 greek guys and 2 aussie girl neighbors before I grabbed some gyros and headed to bed!

Then next day it was time to check out the beach that was right out front of our campsite and it was nothing short of amazing!! The beaches in Greece are so so so nice and the water is so nice and warm! I love it so much!!  After a day of just lazing around and recovering we headed back to the campsite and met up with our neighbors for a night of drinking games.  These Greek guys were so freaking funny oh man they were the best to hang out with!! They taught me all the dirty words in Greek and nothing else which I suppose isn't the best thing... but it was all in the good name of fun!!! Anyways we just had a nice relaxed night of hanging out but I was STILL recovering from Mykonos and by the time they all wanted to hit the town I was WAY to exausted so I just hit the hay and they them go on their own!

FInally on the third day in Ios I was feeling half normal again and now it was on for the night as I promised our Greek friends that I would come to a metal bar with them and head bang for them hahaha!!!!  Anyways we just lazed around the beach again for the first couple hours of the day but then wouldn't you know it our 2 crazy Norweigen friends and those same 3 canucks from Mykanos showed up!! And now it was ON right away again! It all started out with a few 12 noon jager shots and beers then some more beach lounging and jager shots to celebrate greece or whatever we could think of to toast to haha!  After a while we were starting get to get worn out so it was time to have a little bit of a nap before we went out for our night on the town!  Turns out when I woke up my buddy Christien (one of the Norwiegiens) had already bought a bottle of Jagermiester and another of Johnny Walker red (the best whiskey ever) and a bunch of beers and was waiting for me to get going haha! What a guy!  So he pulled out his guitar and started playing and we all sang sing alongs and just drank until about midnighish.  The whole time atracting more people to join us with our angelic voices haha!!!  By the time everyone was ready to go and the bottle were polished off we must have had close to 20 of us that all piled onto the bus and got ready for a night of amazingness!! I really had no idea what to expect from the village but it definately outdid any expectations that I ever had!!  This whole town was created solely to party and they sure as heck know how to do it up right!!  The town is basically completely dead during the day BUT at night the place goes off!!... in the about 500 square foot village there must be more than 40 bars and clubs to choose from!!  Plus none of them charge ANY cover and all the drinks are relativly cheap!  I love it! you can find anything for Dance music to rock to Metal to folk to anything you can imagine you want to dance to!!  Plus they have bars just to relax in and chill!!  MY favorite part about the whole place though I think is there's is absoutly no fire rgulations to how many people they can fit into the club... so basically if the door of the place closes, good to go hahaha!  One of my favorite bars was a rock bar called flames which basically you just floated around in cause it was so ridiculously packed!!  Oh man I love this place!!! So we spent all night there and again I didn't get home til close to 7 am after the 20 minute walk home!!!

When your sleeping in a tent in Ios as we've now found out it's seriously impossible to sleep past 9 o clock in the morning cause it's just so dang hot!! So once again I only got a couple hours sleep which was okay with me cause I had the BEST night the night before haha!  Plus I got the most beautiful beach to look forward to all dang day!!  I headed there with George and a couple canadians I had met the night before named Nelson and Andrew who were from Toronto.  They told me about this amazing bar called "Harmony" which little did I know at the time would become my new favorite place in the entire world!!  Anyways we headed up there about 5 o' clock in the afternoon which was when happy hour started up there.  This place is exactly what I've bene looking for my whole trip and I loved this bar so muhc I'm honestly considering opening one like it up in the Okanagan.  Basically it's just a bar for you to lay back in and eat mexican food, drink beer and chat with your buddies.  Again it's built on a cliff so you get such an amazing view of the sea to the thing about it is this:  They've set up hammocks and couches and stuff for you to just laze around in all day... they dont even care if you just stumble up there after a long night and sleep in their hammocks all day while you sway to the sea breeze!!!  Another amazing thing is that instead of having bar stools set up at the bar they've built a giant swing set so you can just swing back and forth and enjoy you drink at the bar!! SO COOL!!! Also they have board games, backgammon, chess and jenga and cards for anyone to use who is just chilling in the bar!  AND AND AND oh yes there's more!! The bar has hired this guitarest who comes on everday a 6 o clock and he just chills and plays acoustic guitar and sings while you laze around!!! Oh man I fell in LOVE with this bar and I spent at leat a few hours there everyday for the rest of my time is Ios!!  After we were finished at the Harmony Nelson and Andrew found out about this pub that shows free bootleg movies as long as you buy a drink so once happy hours were over at Harmony we headed up there and watched the Brand New Bourne movie "The Bourne Ultimatum" the day it came out in theaters!! FOR FREE!!! SO cool!!!  After we were done there I was absolutly exausted so I headed to bed in order to prepare myself for the next night!

Alright day 5! After a good night sleep (as good as it gets sleeping in the dirt at least haha) I was reading for another day of you guessed it... lazing around, body surfing and tanning!  Man the Greece lifestyle is just so rough!  Alright so after that you guessed it we all headed back up to the Harmony for another amazing experience of lazyness!  Next we all headed back to the fun-pub the pub that showed the free bootleg movies and we decided that we were going to watch the simpsons movie tonight!!  What a hilarious movie... if you havent seen it I would definately suggest it!  After that it was about 11ish so we picked a couple Red Bull and a bunch of beer and started the night for real! We headed back to the town for another night of electric sliding!! This time though I ran into a couple girls I met from Athens named Christian and Lindsay who just so happened to be from Kelowna and Vancouver!!! So cool... I taught them a few dance moves then walked them home after the night and headed back tot he campsite while watching the sunrise! AMAZING!!

Woke up again and if you havent figured out the Ios trend yet then you arn't thinking very straight haha!  Thats right more lazing and and Beaching!  Today was a little different though George decided he couldn't handle thye island anymore so he headed out plus all my greek neighbors and Nelson and Andrew decided they wer outta there too!!  So it was just me to hang out!  Not such a bad thing though it was actually pretty nice to just throw in my iPod and read my book!  So I headed up to Harmony and slept in the hammock until about 8ish at night.  Then i headed back to the campsite and met a couple girls from the states whom were experiencing theirs first night in Ios!  SO I told them I'd show them around the town and thats just what I did and they had an absolute blast.. cause how could you not in Ios!! haha

FInally Day 7 haha my last night in Ios and I knew I had to make this one a big one!  When I woke up though I walked outside my tent and you wouldn't believe who I found... the 2 signs girls who convinced me to stay at their campsite in Mykonos!!  So now I had to show them around the town! Well I obviously started out at the amazing Harmony and they loved it especially cause the owner decided he was going to play tonight instead of the other guy and WOW... thats all I have to say this guy was an absolutly amazing guitarist he played with SO much feel you couldn't but bob your head, sing along and after every song stand up and clap!  Once we were done there I heard about this place called the Sunrise hotel that had a bar in it that I decided we should head to.  This place has drinking and pre-partying figured out.  The thing is is that they have a whole cooler of cheap bottle of booze and bottle of mixer and what you do is buy and bottle of booze and mixer and then justmiz your own drinks all night long!  It's like being at a giant house party but with a whole bunch of new people to meet!!! SO cool!  and my favorite part about it... if you dont finish you bottles you just right your name on it and the date and you can come back and finish it the next day or whenever you want!! SO cool!  So I share a liter a vodka with the girls and after that who knows what happened hhahaha all I know is that I woke up and the 2 girls were inside my tent (I told them they could sleep there cause they had nowhere to sleep)  There was only one problem though... I was sleeping OUTSIDE the tent in a pile of dirt hahaha! no idea why I didn't crawl into my bed that I had set up but whatever! The pictures tell me it was an amazing night hahaha!!!

After that night I HAD to get out of Ios I was so sick and warn I out I need to head to Santorini the "Honeymoon" island and just relax while watching the most beautful sunset in the world they claim to have!  At the end of the day though Ios was definately my favorite island I've been to and more than likely my favorite palce to party in the entire world! I love it soooo much there!!! I can't wait to go back!! But it was off to Santorini finally on my 8th day there (you dont want to get sick of it and never want to come back) so hopefully it will be good times there too!!!
