Our trip started with a bus trip to Kedah. We took the Durian Burung Express - a double decker executive coach for RM35 per person. The bus is quite okay - we occupied the whole lower deck since there are only 6 seats available. When we got to the bus station, there's already one double decker bus there which we thought is gonna be ours. Unfortunately, it's not. We had to wait for the next bus which is not as nice & new as the previous ones. Nevertheless, our bus is not that bad after all.

The seats in the bus are quite okay - the only thing I couldnt stand is the air-condition - it's damn too cold. We were freezing in there. Ayah didnt get any sleep the whole trip coz Marsya used his sweater as a blanket on top of her jacket. Poor Ayah !!!

The jetty ride to Langkawi took us about 1 hr 45 mins. - on a calm & steady water

A journey to Kedah by right, shud only take 5-6 hours the most. But due to the long weekends, lots of people is travelling back which causes a traffic congestion at the highway.  So, a 5 hours journey ends up to be 7 dreadful hours. The bus stops once if i'm not mistaken - coz most of the time i was sleeping - thanks to my sinus pills !!

We reached Kuala Kedah approximately 8.30 am. Lucky for us coz Ayah has a fren staying there. So, he picked us up at the bus station & went straight to his house. There, we had our bath, changed & breakfast. After resting for about 1-2 hours, we head straight to the Kuala Kedah Jetty.

We took the 11.30 am ferry called Ekspres Bahagia. The fare is RM18 per person (adult) & RM 11 for child. The jetty ride to Langkawi took us about 1 hr 45 mins. Luckily the water is calm & steady - otherwise I'll be in deep shit since i am so prone to sea-sickness.

Upon arrival at the jetty, Faizal the car-rental rep. is already there waiting. We're so grateful to him as we got a very good deal on the fare - RM80/day. The normal rate for a peak season like this is RM120/day. We got ourselves an automatic 1.5 Wira. Stuffed our luggage into the boots & off we go to Pantai Cenang.
