Although our time in Oahu was short we decided to make the most out of it. We arrive at the Sheraton Waikiki at approx. 2pm.The boys bolted to the pool & after a quick bite by the pool Jacqueline went to tan and I needed to walk around & get the lay of the land. Booked a 6:25am tour to Pearl Harbour (not sure when I should spring that one on everyone!)

- the start of a VERY long day, we leave for NZ at 11:45pm later tonight! Everyone made it on the bus for 6:25am…excellent!! The tour of the Arizona was fairly sombre especially after talking with real survivors and the short film we seen of actual footage (Dec. 7^th 1941), taken from the Japanese zero’s & from the ground. The visit upon the Missouri, where the end of WW II took place, was fantastic, the boys & I eat it up and Jacqueline was even impressed and enjoyed being educated, as did we all, on the events that surrounded the attack on Pearl Harbour. Stepping foot upon one of the largest US Destroyers was awe-inspiring. We arrived back at the Hotel at approx. 2pm, went straight to the pool, (as we checked out of our room before we left this morning!), where we relaxed and bided our time until our flight to New Zealand at 11:45pm tonight. Its 11:20pm and our visit to the Hawaiian Islands is about to close, were are all exhausted and boarding the plan to start our NZ adventure!
