Day five - Hop on/Hop off

Well we woke up looking forward to our breakfast after no dinner but we were rather disappointed to find only cereal and bread was on offer, not with any butter either!! But we made do and washed it down with funny tasting juice.

We set off on a mission to find the Explorer Bus, which allowed us to hop on and hop off at any of the 14 attractions it took us to, the bus then carries on and comes back every half hour or so to pick up any tourists that are waiting. This was only $30 for the day. After a bit of wandering we found the bus stop and hopped on!!!!! There was a commentry as we went round the city so we knew where we were and what we could see.

We firstly got off at Kelly Tarlton's antarctic encounter underwater world..which was a load of shit (sorry parents)...enough said!!!!!! There was like 1 incy wincy shark with a load of boring old fish...a plastic squid...and some sea weed!! Oh and the penguins...which were coolies but it made us sad because they had a horrible home!! Boo!!!!!!!

We then carried on to Aukland Museum to change busses...this bus took us to Eden Gardens, Mt Eden (highest point), Eden Park (all blacks ground), Shopping centre, Auckland Zoo and a boring museum and then back to the other bus. We didnt actually get off this bus once...

We then went to Parnell Village for some lunch which was scrummy. And on to Victoria park Market, that was good fun!! Bought a few little bits...and rounded off the tour nicely!

We went for a walk along the harbour and had a drink in a bar near the hotel.

After our busy day we were pretty tired, so got changed really quickly and went for some dinner in a restaurant we had spotter earlier on in the day!! It was a pleasant evening....
