Ready to go and see the island Bern and I head out to see when the train station opens to find out some connections. Coming towards us are two people dressed a lot like us with backpacks.. and they were like, ¨ahhh fellow Canadians¨we were so happy. So Dave and Janet (from Toronto) ended up spending the whole day with us. We ran and got the usual a baguette and headed onto the bus. We got up to the island and I didn´t realise how large it was. Not only was it the church, but it was an entire town on it too. We got a museum pass and went to four different ones through out the island. The houses were so cute and closely built to fit on such a tiny area. I am sure that words could not describe how beautiful it was but the pictures should help. When I can manage to download some.

So, by 4 we were heading back on the bus hoping to catch our train which could be at 428 or 520. So, once we got off, I ran for the train station and the othe 3 ran to grab out bags. We managed to luck out again and got to out train at 520. We were off to Rennes, then another connection to Nantes and then to Bordeaux. We are coving the whole western side of France over night. This was the day of running because again our train was a little late and we had 1 minute to find out which train we were one, get to it, and find the right section. We got it and we got into Bordeaux at 1 am. We thought we´d get our hostel, but we found that we were kind of in the redlights district and it was kind of sketchy. So, we turned around and ¨slept¨in the train station as much as possible until out train to the border of Spain at 630am. So, we were up early and had some breakfast, which tastes great after a long night like that. The hot chocolate here is to die for baguettes are my new favorite thing... oh and they come with a side of bread too... lol.
