For those of you who don't know, when I decided to take a year out of work, my original intention was to work in Whistler for the year. Having visited twice before, I had fallen in love with the place. the spectacular views, friendly people and party atmosphere are second to none (so far), so it was with mixed feelings that I went back. It was everything I remembered, although my previous 2 visits were more about the days, whereas this time t was more about the nights! Had an amazing time. Theresa and Darren spent most of the time biking and mike went for one day too. It is said to be an 'awesome' experience, but I was up for leaving with all my limbs intact, so stuck to shopping, swimming in the lakes and sunbathing. Managed to find to catch up with an old friend as well as to party most of the nights away. This place is an absolute must for all visitors to Canada, especially those who love skiing or mountain biking. Having said that, it felt ok to leave, and I really feel like I've made the right decision - only time will tell I guess. Quite a quiet trip in terms of sightseeing. Took advantage of the hotel facilities, a pool which could fit about 3 people in it, and a hot-tub - figured it may be our last opportunity for a while! Aside from that, we generally chilled out during the day and tried really hard not to spend money, and then proceeded to spend heaps in the evening by appreciating the local facilities!
