Getting to know Bangkok

Went out down Khao san road last night because claire was leaving.  Khao san road is sort of like the most hectic place you can think of and then times by ten!  Taxis and tuktuks are nearly hitting you, tailors asking if you want a suit made up "good price sir" and on a night, you get offered a pingpong show so many times you wonder if you look like a dirty pervert!  We found a little bar on the side of the road-literally a stall and some plastic stools with loud music. I stuck mainly to the beer while the girls drank cocktails out of big sand buckets.  Met some aussie girls and her boyfriend, aswell as some guys from iceland.  Played a few drinking games and ended up at an RnB bar on patpong road (sex district) with live music and cate dancing on the table with a thai girl while wearing a pink cowboy hat...hehe.

Today we've booked a trip to ayuthaya, chaing mai, sukothai and laos (luangprabang).  Tomorrow were going to the tiger sanctuary.  Its a place were tigers are looked after by monks because there mothers were killed by poachers, and you can go sit with the tigers and stroke them, even have their head put in your lap!!!! In chaing mai we're doing elephant trekking, normal trekking and bamboo rafting.  We're also going into laos, which we're doing via a slow boat along the rivers.

Weather is still super hot-30-35C still. I found a 7-11 shop, me and cate had a slurpee which i havent had since i left canada! And much cheaper!
