So here we are, in our penultimate destination (we’re expecting to spend a few days in Bangkok before flying home in a fortnight), the FaaSai Resort. It’s about 25 km from Chathaburi, and near Kung Wiman, a beautiful beach. We got a half price deal with the Kiwi/Thai owners as it’s off season and the place is deserted. As a result we have two adjoining rooms, each with huge bathroom, TV, DVD player and air con. It’s the most luxurious place we’ve stayed in and it’s great, along with the food which is delicious. There’s a small pool and they do all kinds of massage and treatments, which Jont & I might have to indulge in during our 10 days here.

It is weird to be finally out of time, all the way round the world we’ve had plenty of time and never quite enough money - now we can blow whatever’s left in the budget (not much as Jont keeps reminding me) but there’s no getting away from the fact that time is nearly up.
