Stopover in Prague
From Medical Elective - Jerusalem, Israel in Prague, Czech Republic on Aug 19 '06
Well, here I am, in the departures lounge of Praha Ruzyne Airport.
Got to say, pleasantly surprised - for the price of a coffee (90 of whatever it is they spend here... 2 pounds 50), I've got unlimited internet access. And a latte macchiato.
6 hours in Prague
Czech Airlines. So impressed! With a window seat, a HUGE kosher meal (which made me feel rather guilty - I had three courses, while the standard meal was a small ham sandwich and a cup of tea. I'm sure that's how Anti-Semitism starts), and friendly staff, I've suddenly realised that my impression that El Al is outstanding is quite untrue. The only difference was the lack of entertainment, but I can live without a film that is conveniently run at a time that clashes with the meal and has so much audio static that you can't here it anyway...
It's time for the truth though. The only reason I even have a travel blog in the first place is because I am so insanely bored, spending 6 hours in departures waiting for my connection. There's only so much you can do on the internet in a public place!
So, if you like this blog, you have CSA to thank. If you don't, blame them, and my English education.
Well, that's it - next time I write, I'll please G-d be in Israel. Wish me luck!
