Getting ready to go. As promised, the sad picture of Rowan - mainly for me to remember how cute my pup is while I'm gone. Leaving Atlanta for Guatemala City tomorrow!!! I recently received an e-mail from the hotel I'll be at in Guatemala City saying that the Guatemalan government changed the time in the country and that it had something to do with gas prices. Actually, it said:

"Dear Guests and friends of Dos Lunas:

The Guatemalan government changed the time.

On april 19th we received some important information from our government regarding change of local time beginning april 29th.00:00 to one hour forward in order to save energy, etc. one of the many reasons is the increase of prices for Petro. For those who are travelling in or out Guatemala after that date please take note of this change and call your airline or travel agency for time changes in arrival or departure time.

For your reference gas went up this week in aprox. USD 0.50 cents more per gallon. dont be surprised if some prices in transportation change.

Does this make sense to anyone? I'm not making the connection between time and gas prices!!
