Back again, again.

A few hours later we were back in Quito.  We drove up to see the Virgen de Quito, took a few snaps, but all Mike and I wanted to do was get back to the hostel and kip.  We eventually made it back at about 5, and were prepared for a lot of gloating from Nikki, Rick, Helen and Gideon, who had supposedly been to the hot spas.  We bobbed upstairs to see what was on the menu, only to find that the others had stayed in bed all day, and had only made it out a half hour before we got back.  It was a huge relief to discover that at least we didn't miss out on anything while we were having a rubbish day.

We ended up sitting upstairs chatting two Ozzie couples, Caine and Monique, and Matt and Michelle.  They were really sound, and if we make to Melbourne for the big day out, we'll hook up with Caine and Monique again.  After a shower, dinner, and a few more beers, I was ready for out.  I tried convincing a few more people, but no one seemed that up for it.  At 11, about 10 of us headed down to our floor, where we finished off the bottle of vodka that we had bought the night of my birthday, and then myself, Gideon, Maggie, Katie and another Spanish guy headed out to Bungalo 6 and No Bar.  It was a pretty good night.

The next day, we had to check out, so we got up reasonably early, packed up, and headed off to the equator for our last day trip in Ecuador.
