The overnight journey from Medellin, was very uncomfortable for some reason.  Got to Cali very tired as couldn´t get much sleep.  Checked into the hostel, had a few hours sleep and then walked around the area to check it out.  It didn´t impress me too much.  That night (Saturday) went out into the Zona Rosa of Cali, a long road full of bars, clubs and neon lights, and had a good time (until one of the guys I was with got falsely arrested by corrupt police for possession of drugs - he had to pay a bribe and get away - that´s Colombia for you!!!)

The next day was spent relaxing on the patio and not doing anything much in particular.  At night, went out to the Zona Rosa again with other travellers from the hostel.

Cali adventure

Monday was spent walking around town and seeing the sights, and trying to get a very weird Colombian guy off our backs.  He kept following us claiming he was a pharaoh and cursing us and claiming we were all inferior to him.  He was also preaching to all the beggars in town to rob all tourists like us.  The day ended with me having a heated argument with him and him going away.....phew!!!!

That night I left for Bogota on, again, an overnight bus.
