The Gala Farewell Dinner is a planned event that brings together the whole program to celebrate and say goodbye.  We had the dinner in the old dining hall in St. Edmund Hall.  The evening meal was delicious.  Afterwards, our program director, Dr. Lynne Alvine shared a few words and each professor took a turn at acknowledging the students in the class.

I am now all packed and ready for my flight home tomorrow.  We have a group coach leaving for Gatwick Airport at 5 am! Unfortunately we are leaving as a group, and some people have flights at nine although mine is not until half past twelve.  I packed a book and charged my ipod, so I'm sure time will pass by quickly.

Overall, I have really enjoyed this trip.  It was a growing experience and I've learned about how to travel, different cultures and fending for myself.  I am leaving feeling satisfied about everything I got to see and pleased to have made so many new friends at IUP.  I now have very fond memories of Oxford and I'm glad to have this blog to look back on.
