Back In London

Back in London I spend the first couple of weeks getting myself organised, find a place to live in South London with a couple, a Welsh guy and South African girl.  The place is very nice but also quite small, the rent in London is phenomenal, I was paying £450 a month for my little room - which averages to be be about $1100 - amazing, I could rent my own apartment in Oz for that!!!

Next stop is employment, I went through the normal tests etc with a couple of recruitment agencies before landing myself a position with the English government working for the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.  The people I work with are quite nice and the job is fairly easy and also very repetitive and boring - but working for the government you have to expect that!

The first week at my new job Chelle arrives from Oz and we spend alot of time catching up and drinking - of course what else?!

The next month or so is fairly quiet, trying to replenish the funds that I spent on my tour of Europe and Scotland...
