We drove on Sunday from Memphis to Nashville and found a hotel on the westside of town.  On Monday, we went to Opryland, which is a resort area near the Grand Ole Opry.  We were able to purchase tickets for the Tuesday night performance at the Opry and then we spent most of the day at Opryland.  Opryland is a mall, hotel, convention center and steamboat area.  We spent the majority of the day just wandering around and checking out the area.  Then we went to downtown Nashville at night and found the local pubs were hosting (no cover) bands even on a Monday night.  We went to The Legends Corner Bar and saw a great band - Exit 69 with Melissa Paige - she has a really great voice.  We also went to the Charlie Daniels Band Museum.  There was live country coming from most of the bars on Broadway Street, so it was really cool.  The town was not as busy as Memphis, but it was still lively for a Monday night.

On Tuesday, we went to the Grand Ole Opry and were able to see the following acts: John Conlee, Cherryholmes, Jeannie Seely, Mandy Barnett, T. Graham Brown, Rhonda Vincent, Jimmy Dickens and Joe Nichols.  Although, Lars and I had never heard of any of these artists before we went - we really enjoyed the performances.  We may have to download some of the songs we heard, such as Joe Nichols' (who was quite a hottie by the way and all the girls were going crazy at the show) "Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off", which was a fun tune.  Another good tune is Rodney Atkins' "If You Are Going Through Hell".

Memphis and Nashville are quite the musical cities, so they were a good time!  Tomorrow we are heading towards Savannah, Georgia for a wedding (our friends Brooke & Tony, who just moved back to Michigan from Spain).
